New Edition of the “Strategy for Bringing Muslim Madhahib Closer Together”
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has recently published a new edition of the “Strategy for Bringing Muslim Madhahib Closer Together” in Arabic, English and French.
This ISESCO Strategy was first adopted by the Tenth Islamic Summit Conference, held in Malaysia in 2003.
Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, wrote a foreword to this new edition of the Strategy.
In his foreword, Dr Altwaijri stated that the Strategy is based on common grounds that unify rather than divide, converge rather than diverge, and reinforce rather than weaken the Islamic Nation. This endeavor is conducted within the framework of the Shari'a objectives and the universal principles of Islam that may not be overridden or bypassed, with a view to consolidating Islamic solidarity and strengthening the sense of belonging to the unified Islamic Nation, true to Allah’s word:
“And He hath put affection between their hearts: not if thou hadst spent all that is in the earth, couldst thou have produced that affection, but Allah hath done it: for He is Exalted in might, Wise.”
